There was nothing illegal about giving the Nazi’s financial support up until 1939, they hadn’t started the war until then. Mostly, financial dealings would have been with Germany the country, rather than with the Nazi party, anyway.
For these reasons it is unfair to suggest that the Jewish bankers who financed the German renaissance after 1918 should be prosecuted for what happened later on.
